About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor to manufacture and supply BEARING HALF SET, SL components through this solicitation. The procurement is specifically for ball and roller bearing manufacturing under NAICS code 332991. Potential offerors must be authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's items and provide an official letter confirming their distributor status. Submissions must be electronically submitted via email to derek.j.ford5.civ@us.navy.mil and must include detailed pricing information, delivery lead times, and cost breakdowns. Quotes are required to have a minimum 90-day expiration period, and contractors must adhere to specific requirements including MIL-STD packaging standards, item unique identification (IUID) requirements, and government source inspection protocols.

The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation and appears to be open to qualified manufacturers and distributors. While no specific award value is disclosed, the contract involves precise manufacturing specifications for bearing components with strict quality assurance requirements. Contractors must comply with military packaging standards (MIL-STD 2073) and provide comprehensive documentation about any design changes or part number modifications. Delivery will be FOB Origin, and the government reserves the right to inspect all submitted materials to ensure compliance with contract specifications. The current solicitation was posted on August 22, 2024, with a response deadline of March 24, 2025, providing potential offerors substantial time to prepare comprehensive submissions that meet the Navy's exacting technical and quality standards.
