The proposed procurement is for NSN, 1710-01-488-9281, Bar Strain, Holdback Assembly, P/N7-0529-3 made in accordance to 80020 NAVY drawings. Item is coded as a Critical Safety Item, and requires source approval from NAVAIR, Lakehurst. Solicitation is unrestricted. Contract type will be firm-fixed priced for a base quantity of 40 EACH. Item is for a DLA Stock Location. Requested delivery is approximately 860 days with First Article Testing. Solicitation will require FOB Destination with Material Receipt Inspection at NAVAIR, Lakehurst. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.

Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
