**PLEASE READ: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON THE DATE IDENTIFIED BELOW**
Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about August 23, 2016
Description: This solicitation is the secure services to fall roadside hazard trees that were fire-killed in the 2012 Bagley Complex. Approximately 22 miles of National Forest System (NFS) Roads are in need for felling, but 6.5 segmented miles of the 22 total miles have high tree mortality in groups. Approximately 25,500 hazard trees are within the 6.5 segmented miles. The remaining 15.5 miles have individual hazard trees scatter about for an additional 1,300 hazard trees.
All hazard trees are to be felled and left in place without limbing or bucking unless public safety and/or resource damage would occur. No green trees shall be cut unless they compromise the safety of operation, or are highly defective and would strike the road.
Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and any necessary incidentals to accomplish work on this project.
Location: The project is located partially on the McCloud District and partially on the Shasta Lake District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Shasta County, California. The project center is about 14 air-miles south of McCloud, 38 air-miles northeast of Redding, 8 miles west of Big Bend and 16 air-miles east of Interstate-5 at the Sims intersection.
Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for Total Small Business
Response Location: Offers will be accepted at the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Redding Office, located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Headquarters at 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER than time and date indicated on solicitation.
