About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Tronair Inc. for the acquisition of five APS Booster Packs to support the P-8A Poseidon Program for the Royal Australian Air Force. The proposed contract action is being pursued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 as it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of costs not expected to be recovered through competition. While this is not a request for proposal, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal by February 25, 2024 to be considered; however, no award will be made based on responses.
There is no set-aside designation specified. The main NAICS code appears related to aircraft parts manufacturing while the PSC code involves aircraft support equipment. Tronair Inc. is identified as the potential incumbent or current contractor for these booster packs. The quantity is listed as five units but no estimated value or budget range was provided. All inquiries must be directed to the specified Navy contract specialist by the stated response deadline.
