AFSC/PZABB intends to establish a definitive (C-type), predominantly Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract to provide for engineering services to resolve obsolete part and vanishing vendor issues related to the AN/ALQ-172 Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) -3, Log Detector, National Stock Number (NSN) 5998-01-255-6868. Contract shall provide for the development, redesign, and testing of the listed NSN and shall include the procurement of a quantity of five form, fit, function, and interface redesigned LRU-3 Log Detector prototypes. A single Cost-Reimbursement No Fee (CRNF) Contract Line Item (CLIN) shall be included to provide for travel and per diem; the remainder of the contract shall be priced on a CPFF basis. The basic period of performance of this contract action is thirty-six months; no options are planned to be included under this effort.
The solicitation is planned to be released on or around 27 Feb 2015.
The contract award is planned to be issued on or around 31 Aug 2015.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Exelis Inc., Cage: 28527, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
