About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure AMPLIFIER, AUDIO FRE under a firm-fixed-price contract. The solicitation requires manufacture of an audio frequency amplifier with specific design requirements, including adherence to MIL-STD-130 for item identification and potential design change protocols. Qualified offerors must submit proposals via NECO or email by March 28, 2025, with contractors required to be authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item. The contract involves detailed quality assurance requirements, including contractor responsibility for inspection and maintenance of comprehensive records for 365 calendar days after final delivery. Evaluation will likely focus on technical compliance, distributor authorization, and ability to meet military specification standards.

The solicitation does not indicate a specific small business set-aside, though it includes provisions for workers with disabilities and equal opportunity. The procurement covers specific amplifier models with reference numbers including 61660-100, AM2210N/WTC, and SLA20-001, suggesting potential multiple unit requirements. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD 2073, and contractors must be prepared to provide detailed documentation about design changes or substitutions. The contract includes a priority rating for national defense and emergency preparedness, indicating potential strategic importance. While specific award value is not detailed, the solicitation suggests the procurement is part of a broader naval electronic equipment acquisition strategy, with potential performance locations likely aligned with naval facilities or authorized manufacturing sites.
