The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst has a requirement for Aircraft and Laboratory Systems Sensor Development and Integration for the APY-10 and APG-79 radars. The Government intends to issue a contract on a sole source basis to Compass Systems. Compass Systems is the sole designer, developer and provider of key components of the Rough Monkey software system which is crucial to the continued development of several radar systems the Navy already is using operationally. Therefore, Compass is the only vendor capable of meeting the Government requirement.



This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive procurement.
