THIS IS A MARKET RESEARCH/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SEEKING INFORMATION ONLY. This is a Sources Sought announcement only seeking Small Business responses in order to determine Small Business participation in this acquisition. The 355th Contracting Office, Davis-Monthan AFB (DMAFB) intends to procure 6000 Auger Anchors in accordance with attached A-A-55606 specifications.
Under this requirement the contractor shall provide:
CLIN 0001: QTY of 6000 AUGER ANCHORS: Aircraft mooring anchor is 32" to 35" from the auger tip to the ring tip (overall length). The shaft is 20" long, 1-7/8" to 1-1/2" in diameter and made of schedule 80 pipe. The collar is 4" long 1-5/8" to 1-7/8" in diameter made of schedule 40 pipe. The screw portion (auger tip) is 5-1/2" to 6" long, 3-3/4" to 3-7/8" outside diameter at the top, tapering down to the point. The "D" ring is 1/2" 1018 cold roll round bar, 3-3/8" to 3-1/2" long and 4" across at the bottom curves. The "D" ring will align with or pivot from front to back of the collar. All the components (the entire anchor) will be hot-dip galvanized steel and must meet A-A-55606 specifications. (see Attachment 1 and Attachment 2 for additional reference)
The designated NAICS Code is 332999, All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing, size standard is 500 employees.
Your response shall include your company's size, CAGE/DUNS codes and the primary point of contact. Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise, certification, authorization and experience to compete for this acquisition. It is imperative that business concerns responding to this notice articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately. Responses to this notice are strictly voluntary; the Government will not pay for any costs incurred by interested parties in response to this notice.
