About this opportunity

The Office of Naval Research published this Special Notice to announce a research opportunity for an Advanced Targeting Concepts Development Study. The goal is to develop recommendations for investing research and development efforts over the next four to six years to achieve a persistent long-range targeting capability using a system-of-systems framework.

The notice seeks white papers and proposals from offerors to address technical areas including concepts of employment, concepts of operations, sensor technologies, communications approaches, and kill chain allocation. An industry day will be held on May 17, 2019 for potential offerors, with white papers due June 14, 2019 and full proposals due August 30, 2019. ONR expects to make multiple awards by December 2019 and allocate approximately $3 million to efforts related to developing advanced targeting concepts. Eligible contractors are invited to participate in the industry day and respond to the notice with proposed solutions for achieving long-range targeting capabilities against multiple airborne and surface targets within contested environments at extended ranges.
