About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy's Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support) is seeking to procure a single electromechanical actuator with National Stock Number 7R-1680-015838446-P8, part number R6166M1. The procurement will be conducted on a limited source basis, primarily targeting Boeing Distribution Inc. and Triman Industries Inc., who are recognized as the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for this specific component. The government does not currently own the technical data rights required to source this part from alternative vendors. All interested firms may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation within 45 days of the publication date, though the government expects to award to the identified manufacturers. Interested organizations must submit their capabilities and qualifications via email to Dylan.e.payne.civ@us.navy.mil, with electronic procedures to be used for the solicitation and the Request for Proposal (RFP) to be posted on NECO.
The procurement is not subject to any specific set-aside designation and will be processed using FAR Part 13 procedures. Firms not currently approved to manufacture the material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), though this will not delay the procurement process. The anticipated award date is March 2025, with a single unit being procured and delivery requested FOB origin. While no specific budget range is disclosed, the procurement is classified under NAICS code 336413 and Federal Supply Class 1680 for miscellaneous aircraft accessories and components. Potential contractors should note that no telephone requests will be honored, and no hard copies of solicitation documents will be mailed, emphasizing the fully electronic nature of this procurement opportunity.
