About this opportunity

This Special Notice was published by the Department of Veterans Affairs to announce its intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Illumina, Inc. for a NextSeq 2000 Sequencing System. The Cleveland VA Medical Center Research Service requires this sequencing system as one of five VA sites supporting a national sequencing mission project, in order to maintain data continuity and comparable results across sites.

The Special Notice provides that the Cleveland VAMC intends to negotiate solely with Illumina due to the need for comparable data results between the five VA medical center sites involved in the national sequencing mission project. Any responsible source able to provide an equivalent product as the OEM, authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller may submit a capability statement by September 9, 2022 for consideration. However, the determination not to compete this requirement is solely at the government's discretion based on responses received. Eligible sources are limited to the OEM, authorized dealers, distributors, and resellers of the required NextSeq 2000 Sequencing System. The opportunity provides visibility into the VA's national sequencing mission project and requirements.
