About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VA) is seeking market research responses for a Cardiac Tilt/Echocardiogram Table for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in Temple, Texas. The procurement is specifically for a medical equipment item with detailed technical requirements, including a 31" height adjustment, emergency tilt capabilities, 600-pound weight capacity, antibacterial technology, and a 3-year warranty. The VA is particularly interested in identifying Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or other small business manufacturers and distributors, with a strong preference for United States-manufactured items. Vendors must submit comprehensive responses by 09:00 AM Central Time on April 14, 2025, including business details, SAM UID number, NAICS code, business size, type, and proof of OEM authorization. The evaluation criteria will focus on manufacturers' capabilities, pricing fairness, and potential for competitive procurement, with the VA reserving the right to determine the final procurement strategy based on received responses.
There is currently no specific set-aside designation for this procurement, though the VA is actively exploring small business opportunities. No incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed, vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing to help inform the procurement strategy. The procurement is for a single Echocardiogram Tilt Table to be delivered to the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System's warehouse in Building 206. The VA will consider responses from both small and large businesses, with a nuanced approach that prioritizes American manufacturing and veteran-owned business participation. Vendors with existing GSA or VA Federal Supply Schedule contracts are encouraged to highlight these credentials in their responses, and the procurement timeline suggests a potential solicitation to be issued shortly after the market research phase concludes on April 14, 2025.
