About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation Philadelphia is seeking contractors to manufacture 47 Arm Assemblies with National Stock Number 7RH 1720-01-271-8892 and Part Number 514759-11. The agency intends to solicit and potentially negotiate with a limited number of responsible sources under FAR 6.302-1 authority. Interested contractors must determine Trade Agreements Act (TAA) applicability by reviewing DFARS 225.401-70 and Federal Supply Groups. All responsible sources may express interest and submit capability statements within 5 days of the notice's publication. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the proposed contract, and only approved sources will be solicited.
Contractors must be prepared to submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request package if they are not currently an approved vendor, with additional submission details available through the Naval Supply Systems Command website. While there is no specific set-aside designation for this procurement, the contract involves manufacturing aircraft parts in the 336413 NAICS category for Aircraft Launching Equipment. The specific procurement timeline indicates a narrow window between the posted date of February 18, 2025, and the response due date of February 22, 2025. Potential bidders should note that DLA Aviation Philadelphia will not delay award pending source approval, and the typical approval process is expected to be completed alongside contract consideration. The primary point of contact for this opportunity is John McCarry, who can be reached at john.mccarry@dla.mil.
