STATEMENT OF WORK

1.01 SUMMARY OF WORK TO BE DONE BY CONTRACTOR

A. Furnish and install a water service line as shown on the drawing.

1.02 SITE LOCATION

A. 3155 CR 2075

Barnsdall, OK 74002

1.03 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

A. Contact the Construction Inspector three business days before the start of any work.

B. Failure to perform work on the date scheduled will require 24-hour notice for rescheduling the work.

C. Leave all work exposed until inspected and approved. Work not inspected before it is covered will be re-exposed at the Contractor’s expense.

1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE

A. Perform work under the direction of personnel licensed in the state including, but not limited to Plumbing.

1.05 WARRANTY

A. Provide a minimum one-year warranty for all materials and labor, covering defects in the materials or workmanship.

1.06 WATER SERVICE LINES (Sizes: 1-inch through 3-inch diameter IPS PE pipe)

B. PE Pipe Material Requirements

1. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe

a. PE 3408

b. DR 11 (pressure rating 160 psi) or DR 9 (pressure rating 200 psi)

C. Fittings:

1. Non-flare compression type fittings with stainless steel pipe stiffeners at each joint.

1.07 INSTALLATION

A. Install water service lines and appurtenances in the locations, sizes and materials shown on the drawings or staked in the field.

B. Water and sewer service crossing and parallel installation.

1. Maintain a 30-inch horizontal separation between water and sewer services.

2. Maintain a 12-inch vertical separation for crossing water and sewer services. The water service is to be placed above the sewer service whenever possible.

3. Water service line splices or joints will not be permitted within 10 feet of a sewer line crossing.

C. Thrust blocking is to be provided at all changes in direction.

1.08 TRENCH

A. Depth: Minimum 30 inches.

B. Bottom: Free from stones greater than 3/4 inch, large dirt clods, and any frozen material.

C. Bedding: If the trench bottom is hardpan, rock, or has stones larger than 3/4 inch in diameter in the largest dimension:

a. Over excavate 6 inches.

b. Place 6 inches of mechanically compacted imported bedding (maximum particle size 3/4 inch) under the pipe

c. Place pipe in trench.

d. Place 6 inches of mechanically compacted imported bedding (maximum particle size 3/4 inch) on the sides and above the pipe D. Backfill: restore trenches to initial grade.

1.09 TESTING

A. Before joints are covered, test pipe for leaks.

B. Visually inspect all connections and fittings for leaks in the presence of the

Construction Inspector.

C. Repair all leaks before backfilling.

1.10 DISINFECTION

A. Disinfect in accordance with AWWA C651 before placing in service.

1. Sample and test until 2 consecutive (minimum of 24 hours apart) negative Bac-T tests are obtained.

2. Provide a copy of the negative test to the Project Engineer.

1.11 CLOSEOUT ACTIVITIES

A. Restore the site as close as is practical to its original condition.

B. Provide record drawings to the Project Engineer.
