Blanket, Wool Gray, Cadet

EVAUATION CRITERIA

THE FOLLOWING TESTS WILL BE PERFORMED ON THE FIRST ARTICLES/SAMPLES

1. Quality and Appearance. The blanket will be inspected for any major color discrepancies. All colors and patterns shall be consistent. Blanket edges shall be straight and neat without any fraying. Blanket shall not have any rips, tears or stains on the material. Any sewn/weaved in patterns (stripes) shall be inspected to be in compliance with the stated positioning and colors.

These stripes will be inspected to ensure they are straight, neat and professionally executed.

The blanket corners will be inspected for excessive bunching, proper finishing and a square angle. If any of the above has failed it will cause sample to be rejected as unacceptable to the Government.

2. Dimensions. The blanket will be measured and checked for compliance to the required overall dimensions listed in the Woolen Blanket Specification. Any sample that is less than 0.5 inches in width or less than 0.5 inches in length will be unacceptable to the Government. Any blanket that is greater than 3.0 inches in width and greater than 4.0 inches in length will be unacceptable to the Government. The screen stamping shall show colorfastness (USMA label) will be inspected for compliance with required sizes and dimensions. The letters U.S.M.A. shall be solid black and full penetration screen stamped in the center of the blanket. Any items that is greater than or less than 0.25 inches will be unacceptable to the government.

3. Smell. The blankets will be inspected and physically smelled several individuals. Any unusual, excessively foul smells not consistent with past successful deliveries will be unacceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the final decision as to what will constitute a failure.

4. Packaging. The shipment will be inspected for compliance with all the stated requirements regarding packaging. The shipment must adhere to the requirements.
