3. Purpose: The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science supports and maintains electrical engineering laboratories as a core requirement for educating and graduating ABET accredited electrical engineers. The acquisition benchtop power supplies, as a lifecycle replacement of existing equipment, ensures that the electrical engineering laboratories are meeting educational requirements.

4. The labs require forty (40) oscilloscopes with the following minimal specifications:

a. 200 MHz bandwidth.

b. Two analog channels

c. Sixteen digital channels

d. Four passive 10:1 probes, 700MHz, 10 M-ohm

e. 8.5” color capacitive touch screen

f. Integrated FFT and advanced math capability

g. USB 2.0 and LAN connectivity.

h. 1,000,000 waveforms per second update rate.

i. Zone touch trigger capability

j. Selectable 1M ohm, 50 ohm input impedance.

k. Compatible with BenchVue software for pedagogical purposes (currently licensed and used in the electrical engineering labs). Specifically, BenchVue is used for remote control, data acquisition, data logging, screenshot capture, and to automate oscilloscope operation.

l. Upgradable bandwidth.

m. Built in 20MHz function generator.

n. Educator training kit and/or training materials for students.

5. If allowed, existing equipment is available for trade-in discounts.
