About this file
This Statement of Work describes the Navy's requirements for purchasing a Bristol's Wavelength MIR Spectrum Analyzer system, consisting of two main components: a 671A-MIR Wavelength Meter and 772B-MIR Spectrum Analyzer. The wavelength meter must provide absolute wavelength accuracy of 0.2 ppm, wavelength range of 1.5-12.0 μm, and 2.5 Hz measurement rate. The spectrum analyzer requires wavelength accuracy of 10 ppm, wavelength range of 1.0-12 μm, and spectral resolution of 4 GHz.
The related solicitation (N0042125Q0055) is a sole-source small business set-aside to Bristol Instruments, with quotes due by December 6, 2024 at 5pm EST. The procurement will be made on a firm-fixed price basis by NAWCAD. Vendors must provide exact brand/model information, minimum 5-year warranty with advance replacement, and be registered in SAM.gov. Delivery is to NAWCAD in St. Augustine, FL. Quotes must be submitted via email to the contracting officer and include shipping costs, tax ID, DUNS number, CAGE code, delivery timeline, and authorized distributor documentation.

Text version
Statement of Work for the Purchase of Bristol’s Wavelength and MIR Spectrum Analyzer Wavelength meter and Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) are measurement tools used to characterize optical source radiation. The wavelength meter is used to measure the precise wavelength of an optical source, such as a laser with pico-meter (10-12m) resolution. This wavelength accuracy is necessary when you are characterizing the absorption line of a material. Similarly, the OSA provides the wavelength information but also the energy distribution around that wavelength. This information is important in my characterization of the hyper-doped Silicon Carbide (SiC) to look at the Doppler broadened absorption line. Together these pieces of instrumentation provide me with the information needed to look at doping concentration VS absorption, which the n influence index of refraction changes.
Vendor must provide the exact brand and model of each components being offered.
