Corona Dikes Miscellaneous Improvements, Riverside County, California

The proposed design feature improvements have been developed in response to issues that were identified post construction of the original Corona Dikes contract. The improvements will provide proper maintenance access, protection to the dike, and protection to the surrounding features. The project shall include the following work features: At the STP dike the work will consist of an interior maintenance road, outlet apron improvement, gully slope stabilization, and instrumentation repairs. At the housing dike the work will consist of an outlet structure improvement, removal of topsoil from the existing grouted stone overflow structure and installation of survey monuments. The construction of these features is a requirement for turning over the project to the local sponsor.

Period of Performance is 270 Calendar days.

The estimated cost range of this procurement is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000

This procurement is issued as a Total Set-Aside for Women Owned Small Business. The NAICS code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The size standard for NAICS code 237990 is $39,500,000.

52.236-16 QUANTITY SURVEYS (APR 1984) - ALTERNATE I (APR 1984)

(a) Quantity surveys shall be conducted, and the data derived from these surveys shall be used in computing the quantities of work performed and the actual construction completed and in place.

(b) The Contractor shall conduct the original and final surveys and surveys for any periods for which progress payments are requested. All these surveys shall be conducted under the direction of a representative of the Contracting Officer, unless the Contracting Officer waives this requirement in a specific instance. The Government shall make such computations as are necessary to determine the quantities of work performed or finally in place. The Contractor shall make the computations based on the surveys for any periods for which progress payments are requested.

52.236-21 SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS FOR CONSTRUCTION (FEB 1997)

(a) The Contractor shall keep on the work site a copy of the drawings and specifications and shall at all times give the Contracting Officer access thereto. Anything mentioned in the specifications and not shown on the drawings, or shown on the drawings and not mentioned in the specifications, shall be of like effect as if shown or mentioned in both. In case of difference between drawings and specifications, the specifications shall govern. In case of discrepancy in the figures, in the drawings, or in the specifications, the matter shall be promptly submitted to the Contracting Officer, who shall promptly make a determination in writing.
