SCOPE OF WORK
SCOPE OF WORK
LOCK AND DAM 2
CABLE TRAY SUPPORT
PART 1 GENERAL
1. 1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The existing fiberglass cable tray in the riverward wall gallery was installed in 1995 during the Lock and Dam 2, Stage 2 Rehabilitation Project. Recently, it was discovered that approximately 350ft of the cable tray support system in the upper riverward wall gallery has failed, resulting in the cable tray falling to the gallery floor. There does not appear to be any damage to the existing cables or cable tray. Due to water infiltration into the gallery, the ideal time to repair the cable tray is during the Lock and Dam 2 dewatering scheduled for the winter of 2023/2024.
The scope of this project includes the repair of the cable tray and supports in the upper riverward wall gallery as well as reinforcing the entire cable tray support system in the riverward wall and landward wall galleries through the supply and installation of the items listed in Part 2 below and any incidental related work.
