Vendor Questions and Answers
Question 1: Do the 100 gallon fuel tanks need to be of a specific material?
Answer 1: Tanks should be 14 gauge steel tanks for diesel fuel storage
Question 2: Do the 100 gallon fuel tanks need transfer pumps?
Answer 2: Tanks should be base mounted for the supplied generators, no need of transfer pump, since these are base mounted (sub-base) tanks
Question 3: Does the receiving facility in Fort Buchannan have a loading dock and forklift available or is that contractor responsibility? Please clarify exactly what on-site at Fort Buchannan means for contractor responsibility.
Answer 3: DPW does have a forklift that can offload the generators and they can place them in Building
37. It is a warehouse building, that does not have a loading/off-loading dock. They have a DPW yard there as well.
