Questions and Answers to clarify specifications for the Loader (Solicitation W912EP-16-R-0028).

Question:

1. In regards to section 1.2.1 Axles (p.5) You state that the Wheel loader must have both Front and Rear Differential locking axles. Will the department consider the more common setup which is a front locking axle with a conventional rear axle in lou of a Front and Real differential lock setup?

I have copied and pasted the description of the axle options on the Volvo L150 directly off their factory web site to show that the unit you are using as your Standard only offers front differential lock and conventional rear axles with a limited slip as an option.

Axles: Volvo fully floating axle shafts with planetary hub reductions and nodular iron axle housing. Fixed front axle and oscillating rear axle. STD 100% differential lock available when needed on the front axle. Optional: Lim. slip rear

L150H
