DWORSHAK ENCLOSED BLAST CABINET

1.0 SCOPE

The following specification pertains to the purchase of one new Enclosed Blast Cabinet for delivery and offloading at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dworshak Project, Ahsahka, Idaho (Project). This cabinet shall be of standard design utilizing standard, commercially available replacement and/or wear parts. This machine shall be a pressurized blast cabinet fitted with a reclaimer separator and cartridge dust filtration.

2.0 CABINET SPECIFICATON

The Cabinet shall meet the following minimum specifications:

a. System Requirements

Outdoor rated Painted steel construction, minimum 12 gauge Operates on available power: 480V, 3-phase.

Unit shall have a built-in control power transformer to supply necessary 120V loads.

Lights/control functions shall be 120VAC

b. Blast Cabinet

Interior dimensions of approximately 70"X70"X60" (WxLxH) Welded construction Double-layer door equipped with anti-spill features, such as door trays Laminated safety glass view window with a minimum viewing size of 12"x20" Lighting: Minimum of three high-intensity LED or HID lights installed in the interior blast cavity Provide all necessary air filtration/moisture separators required for blasting operations Pressurized media vessel: minimum 3 cubic feet, compliant with all applicable ASME codes.

Pressurized media vessel shall contain sight gauges or level indication to inform operator of remaining media capacity.

Safety interlock to prevent blasting when doors are open Low media sensor Provide both 3/16" and ¼" boron carbide nozzles Equipped with a foot-operated treadle valve for initiating/stopping blasting operations Equipped with controls which allow the operator to adjust the air/grit ratio from the front of the cabinet Equipped with a cabinet sound attenuator to minimize blasting noise Interior shall be fitted with white rubber curtains to protect the interior; these curtains shall be user-replaceable Equipped with a minimum 36" diameter manually-rotated turntable, which shall be installed in the cabinet in such a fashion that it is able to be wheeled out of the cabinet on a dolly or track. This turntable shall have a minimum of 1500# capacity.

c. Media Reclaimer

User-adjustable control of reclamation process to filter out small/medium/large particulates Replaceable pre-screening Replaceable inlet wear plate Minimum 1100 CFM flow rate Compatible with glass beads, aluminum oxide, steel grit and steel shot

d. Dust Collector

Shall use replaceable bag or cartridge filters to achieve a filtering efficiency of at least 99% of all particles greater than one micron in size.

Dust collector shall be equipped with a pressure-drop gauge Equipped with a sound attenuation package to keep noise levels below 85 decibels

3.0 SUBMITTALS

3.1 Pre-award Submittals: The offeror shall submit the following information and data with their quote:

Product Data. Cut sheets describing the item being supplied. Optional items not being provided must be crossed out.

Shop Drawings. Illustrating the requirements of the technical specifications.

Warranty. Documentation of the standard warranty offered for this product.

3.2 Delivery Submittals: The Contractor shall provide a minimum of one complete copy of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the blast cabinet assembly, including the media claimer and dust collector. The manuals shall include instructions on the operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, warranty of the systems, and a list of recommended spare parts.

4.0 SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

All items shall be delivered FOB destination to Dworshak Project by 25 August 2022. The Contractor shall be responsible for packing and shipping the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged arrival at the Project.

Delivery schedule shall be coordinated with the Project at least one week prior to shipment. Deliveries will only be accepted at the Project during its normal business hours, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
