B.1 Description of Supplies and Prices
DoDEA, as one (1) of only two (2) Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD). DoDEA is globally positioned, operating 166 accredited schools in 8 districts located in 11 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. DoDEA employs approximately
15,000 employees who serve more than 72,000 children of active duty military and DoD civilian families.
DoDEA is committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society.
B.2 General Requirements
DoDEA Information Technology (IT) Division has routers, switches, servers, and VOIP equipment at des-ignated facilities throughout the world. The devices in some cases are connected to various models of
UPSs to protect the agency’s IT infrastructure investment as well as secure student and staff digital work and applications under abnormal power conditions. Power fluctuations, whether planned or unplanned, are a routine occurrence at the campus level. When these interruptions occur, DoDEA must have a reliable solution in place which will provide sufficient off-line power to ensure the graceful shutdown of signifi-cant IT Infrastructure systems. In this case we do not have a UPS solution for the school, we need more of a centralized approach for our schools’ UPS capabilities, design solutions, and warranty services.
The Government’s intent is to establish a stand alone contract for a base period of four (4) months. This contract requires a Firm Fixed Price line item for specified services as described in the Statement of Work (SOW). The potential for ordering Additional Services within the scope of the contract is a possibility, however, not a guarantee.
Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) will be the system for advertising and posting requirements, posting questions & answers (Q&A) and accepting quotes. The open period for proposals will be in ac-cordance with dates listed on FedBizOps; to include, if any, extensions or changes to the requirements.
B.3 Reimbursable Costs– RESERVED
B.4 Option Years - RESERVED
B.5 Pricing –
Additional Services, outside the scope of the Statement of Work, will not be considered.
However, Additional Services that reasonably fall within the scope of the Statement of Work, may be considered at a future date, if a bona fide need is established.
