MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD

SUBJECT: CONTRACTOR SITE VISIT BRIEFING

Contractor:

Solicitation # - Description: W9128F19Q0080, Big Bend Replace O&M Security Lighting Bids due by June 04, 2019 2:00 pm Central Period of performance: The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.

1. Welcome to the Big Bend Project. We want your time here to be SAFE and productive. Please take time to note the safety reminders listed for the respective areas at Big Bend Project.

2. The use of seat belts on the Big Bend Project is MANDATORY. Remember to “Buckle Up” during your time with us and other times as Seat Belts do save lives.

3. Please observe and obey the speed limits posted for the various roads that are part of the Big Bend Project. Please obey all posted traffic signs.

4. Technical inquiries and questions relating to technical requirements, proposal procedures or bonds are to be submitted via Bidder Inquiry in ProjNet at https://www.projnet.org/projnet/.

1. Weather Restraints –wind/thunder storms.

2. Contractor Staging areas

3. Containment of materials during removal and applications.

Introduction were performed by all present.

4 Companies were present at the meeting Plans, Specifications were explained and site visit was conducted.

The following questions from the site-visit will be answered in Projnet.

Questions asked at the Site-Visit:

1. What was the cost of the government furnished poles, so we can calculate the excise tax for our proposal?

Government Response: Each pole and arm cost the government $1592.31.

2. What Davis Bacon Determination do we use for labor costs heavy and highway construction or building construction?

Government Response: Heavy and Highway is the correct determination.

3. When compaction boring of conduit is required under roads and structures are pipe sleeves required?

Government Response: Pipe sleeves are required to add strength for supporting the conduit under pavement

4. Do you have a stockpile site for the concrete spoils?

Government Response: Yes, we have a stock pile site see map added by amendment.

5. Are existing pole base removed or left in place?

Government Response: The existing pole bases will be left in place.
