W9128F-17-T-0029 – Big Bend Noxious Weed Spraying
Amendment 0001 - Questions and Answers
1. Are there any chemicals restricted to use, such as round up?
The Government follows the state guidelines as far as restricted use pesticides are concerned. Milestone has been previously used for noxious weeds control.
2. On the quantities between the spring and fall applications, they are different. Is the fall treatment a totally different area then the spring treatment, or would there be a second application going on to where the first one was, just a smaller area?
Yes, they are different. The majority of acres are sprayed in the spring and those acres can be at different locations. Potential locations to be sprayed are shown on Technical Exhibit 6 - Maps. In the spring the Government identifies those locations within the project that have problems. The fall spraying can be at the same location but, typically are in different areas that may have late growth or weeds that weren’t previously seen in the spring.
B. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged as a result of this amendment.
