SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS
This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The sources sought is issued to determine commercial market practices and the existence of viable commercial sources to maximize competition and assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. Therefore, this sources sought is for informational and planning purposes only. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code is 238910, Site Preparation Contractors, and the small business size standard is $32.5M. Prior Government contract work is not a pre-requisite for submitting a response under this sources sought notice.
The objective of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various small business concerns. An important outcome of this research is the possibility of setting aside this acquisition for exclusive competitive participation within a specific Small Business Administration (SBA) program in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.201(a).The Small Business Community is highly encouraged to respond as there is a strong interest in socio-economic classification, certification and eligibility standing. This Sources Sought Synopsis is issued to facilitate maximizing competition among small business concerns.
Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Irwin is encouraging all small businesses in all socioeconomic categories that can provide the requisite skills, experience, qualifications, and capabilities necessary to perform the described requirement to respond.
Background: Contractor is to cap approximately 36 acres of cultural resource near Nelson Lake at Fort Irwin, California. The acreage has been identified as important prehistoric archeological resources and is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NHRP). A draft Statement of Work (SOW), along with drawings, is attached for your consideration.
Interested firms having the capacity and capability necessary to perform the described services are invited to provide a capabilities’ statement via e-mail. The capability statement shall not exceed six (6) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, email, web-address, etc.); 2) Duns number and Cage Code; 3) Business Size Classification, for example, small business (SB), 8(a) (SDB), woman-owned (WOSB), economically disadvantaged woman-owned (EDWOSB), service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVOSB), historically underutilized business-zone (HUBZone) small businesses; and 4) any general information on the Firm's experience capabilities as it pertains to the outlined services.
Responses are due no later than 1600hrs PST, Friday, 3 February 2017, and shall be electronically submitted to andy.s.jefferson.civ@mail.mil. All responses will be utilized to facilitate the Government’s decision-making process. Responses are strictly voluntary; no reimbursements will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests.
The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this notice.
