MATERIEL MAINTENANCE ‐ GENERAL

The contractor shall establish, operate, and manage equipment repair shops and supporting functions.

Verify the contractor is operational IAW LRC shop manning guidance and published operating hours for the entirety of the contract period.

Verify all shops and supporting functions will be operated IAW The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) as outlined in AR

750‐1, DA PAM 750‐8, AR 710‐2,

AR 710‐2‐2, applicable LIS publications (currently SAMS‐IE, SAMS‐1E, SAMS‐2E), other Governmental regulation and guidance as applicable, LRC policies and procedures, and accepted industry standards.

The contractor shall appoint, in writing, a primary and an alternate Key Control Officer for the Small Arms room. The Key Control Officer shall ensure that all keys to doors, cabinets, and arms racks are picked up at beginning of each work day and returned by close of business each workday by the designated personnel.

Should the keys be lost or stolen, the Key Control Officer shall notify the COR immediately so that the locks may be replaced. Arms room key inventories shall be conducted daily. TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS

The contractor shall perform initial, random, and final inspections on equipment submitted for repair or services and shall determine that all repairs do not exceed maintenance expenditure limits (MEL) established by applicable equipment technical bulletins or by a local policy prior to work being initiated. During the Initial Inspection process, accurately estimate maintenance labor hours required and parts/materials costs and enter each into SAMS‐IE prior to proceeding with repairs. The contractor shall use TM MAC times, MWO/TB/STIR estimated times, engineered standards, regulatory
