2.1 This Performance Work Statement describes the basic objectives for a Montgomery circa 1976 model # CA CT30185 elevator repair, preventative maintenance, periodic inspections, and categorical testing/certification services for the electric traction passenger elevator system at Hidden Dam in Madera County, CA. The performance-based service contract provides potential offerors the flexibility to develop cost effective solutions and the opportunity to propose innovative alternatives to meet the stated objectives. It also presents the Government with an opportunity to assess the offeror’s understanding of all aspects of the effort to be performed by eliminating the “how to” instructions to accomplish the required effort normally contained on the Statement of Work that the Government traditionally provides to prospective offerors. Acceptable quality levels of performance and remedies for failure to meet the acceptable levels are outlined in the “Performance of Work Requirements Summary”, contained in Attachment A.
3. Description of Services
