United States Corps of Cadets (USCC) Preventive Maintenance on Door Hardware.
W911SD-17-T-0042
1. Scope : Contractor to provide preventive maintenance on one hundred twenty one (121) exterior doors as required to maintain proper security function of eight (8) USCC facilities (Grant Hall, Eisenhower, Scott, Sherman, Lee, Washington, Pershing, Bradley and Davis barracks) located at United States Military Academy, West Point, New York 10996. Ninety (90) of the doors are Common Access Card (CAC) enabled with the remaining thirty (30) exit doors only. The CAC reader brand is Hirsch and the doors are a variety of types including all metal and all wood.
Contractor is to attend weekly inspection meeting (7:30am, Fridays) with government Point of Contact (POC). Contractor to record and provide an itemized list of deficiencies by location, with a cost proposal per location for approval by government POC PRIOR to initiating any work. Contractor also required to provide written report of all corrective measures taken.
Contractor to assume 20% of doors to require complete maintenance within 12 month period. All new door hardware to be heavy duty and to be compatible with existing hardware and security devices per the descriptions below and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
1.1. Provide / install continuous hinge – Stanley 662HD or Stanley BB1168-5x5 US10
1.2. Provide / install door closer – Stanley QDC111-M691.
1.3. Provide / install locksets – Best Access 45H7D15H 630 / Best Access 1E74-C4.
1.4. Provide / install panic / exit devices – Stanley Precision ELR-TDS-2103-1703A-612
1.5. Provide / install weather stripping – 137NB Stanley NGP gold finish
1.6. Provide / install frames and mullions to manufacturer’s specifications.
1.7. Provide / install saddles.
1.8. Provide / install door panels and glass panes.
1.9. Remove / dispose of all malfunctioning door and frame hardware.
1.10. Remove / dispose of saddles.
1.11. Check and tighten mounting hardware and door closers.
1.12. Other preventive maintenance measures as agreed to between contractor and government POC.
