Rock Island Arsenal – Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center does not have enough refrigerated storage to support current M997A3 Ambulance production levels thus requiring additional containers to be leased.
Contractor shall be required to offer repair and preventative maintenance services on the four (4) leased units. Preventative maintenance shall be done two times in a 12-month period. Each container is required to be 40 feet to accommodate 18 standard pallets (single stacked, side by side). Exterior dimensions are to be at least 40’L x 8’W x 9’6”H.; Interior Dimensions 37’L x 7’6” x 8’3”H; Door opening 7’6” x 8’3”H and Cubic Capacity 2,832 cu ft. Container must have 480-V 3-Ph power to operate. Container must be available for ground level storage. They must have lockable double doors at one end as well as durable t-rail flooring rated for pallet jack and fork lift traffic.
Container must have adjustable temperature control to be able to maintain the shelf life requirements of 0F to 80OF.
Security: The Rock Island Arsenal, Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center is an Army installation subject to the Department of the Army safe guards, various precautions, and plant protection measures. At all times during the execution of this Purchase Description, the contractor will maintain adequate plant protection devices to minimize espionage, sabotage, and other malicious destruction and damage. The contractor shall comply with all security requirements of the Rock Island Arsenal. Rock Island Arsenal Island-wide Force Protection levels may be adjusted/changed at any time, which may cause possible delays and will directly affect procedures for accessing the Island.
