About this file
This document contains a military specification for 100% cotton coveralls and a related federal contract opportunity notice.
The military specification outlines requirements for one type of explosive handler's coverall intended for personnel handling ammunition or explosives. It specifies design, materials, testing, workmanship, inspection criteria. Coveralls must be made of untreated 100% cotton fabric weighing between 10-10.5 oz/yd meeting standards for strength, air permeability, flame retardancy, and toxicity. Labels are required indicating size, contractor information, and care instructions. Successful offers must meet all specification requirements.
The federal contract opportunity notice is seeking quotes for 100% cotton coveralls per the requirements outlined. Quotes must be submitted via email by February 15, 2024 to the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management. The solicitation will be issued and managed via the SAM website.
The two documents together provide the military specification requirements and initiate a procurement for 100% cotton coveralls intended to protect explosive handlers, as issued by the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.
