Fire Dispatch Console W50S9F‐20‐Q‐0019 16 September 2020

Q: What needs to be recorded; just the console position Select audio? And/or all telco lines and all radios (direct IP raw audio or analog raw audio)?

A: All radio and phone lines need to be recorded. As for phones, there are both VOIP phones that are IP based and analog phones. Both capabilities are required.

Q: Can you please confirm it is one (1) dispatch console position you are seeking?

A: We need a main dispatch console at the Fire Department and a portable one (or redundant system) at the alternate location which is BDOC. This will give the Fire Department an alternate location if they have to bug out of the main building.

Q: Can you please confirm if console core and/or radio endpoint redundancy is desired?

A: If this is a question for the second location (Like BDOC), then yes.

Q: Can you please confirm the total number of radios the console is connecting to? This impacts radio endpoint quantities quoted.

A: At the present time, it is 10. The capability for expansion preferred.

Questions added 16 September 2020:

Q: Of the native IP based endpoints listed in the RFP, what specific radios are to be included to be connected to as part of this proposal/quote?

A: The current and additional radios that are listed in the SOW should be able to connect to the dispatch station. How it gets there via cooper wire or IP based does not matter.

Q: Does the door control panel have an interface connector to allow external control of the doors via contact closure?

A: Pictures are provided below. IMG‐0651 shows the outside of the door control panel inside the alarm room. IMG‐0652 and 0653 shows the inside of that panel. IMG‐0654 shows what is also at each individual door in the bays. Additionally, the drivers have remotes inside the vehicles that can open and close the doors. If they’re busy, or getting ready to leave for a call, the alarm room can open the doors via the IMG‐0651 panel, but they have to leave their console and go into the room that has this panel and press the button.
