Install Mini-split System CSS15740 Farrell, PA027

Q1. Are there going to be drawings and design done by a PE and stamped for your review?

A1. No we do not require or provide any drawings.

Q2. Is the design to be title 24 compliant?

A2. Since no drawings are required we will not require to be title 24 compliant.

Q3. Are we leaving the existing PTAC water source units and piping in place?

A3. Yes the piping will be capped off inside and abandoned in the PTAC unit along with power.

Q4. Is there any asbestos containing products in the existing units and piping?

A4. No there is no asbestos containing products in the existing units and piping.

Q5. Are we to cover the entire exterior Grille?

A5. Yes the entire exterior grill will be covered with approved material.

Q6. If removal is required the walls are concrete block and brick are we to match existing with infill?

A6. Removal is not required. PTAC units will be abandoned in place.

Q7. Are we to remove 8 existing p tac units entirely or abandon in place

A7. The 8 existing PTAC units will be abandoned in place after the water and electrical are capped off inside the unit to include removing refrigerant.

Q8. Are we to remove the hot water piping back to the main and cap it?

A8. No the hot and cold water piping can be capped off inside the unit and abandoned in place.

Q9. Are we to replace the ceiling tile the removed pipe passes through?

A9. No this will not be required since we are only capping off the piping inside the unit and abandoning the piping inside the unit.

Q10. Are we to cap both sides of the p tack sleeve to cover the openings on both sides of the wall if it’s not abandoned in place?

A10. No just the exterior opening will need to be covered with an approved material as we are abandoning the units in place.
