Questions and Answers CSS#20258 Repair Condensing Unit- New Caste, PA063 Solicitation No. W15QKN-20-Q-5178
Q1. After visiting the job site, I see the existing indoor unit is 3000 cfm of air that is equal to 7.5 ton of cooling, and the existing outdoor unit is 10 ton and would require 4000 cfm of air - they appear to be miss matched and the original blue print has them labeled the way they are installed.
The supply duct system registers add up to 2900 cfm and the returns add up to 3000 cfm. The relief air is showing 3000 cfm and the outside air is showing 3000 cfm. I’m not sure why they have a 10 ton outdoor condenser on this system.
How would you like to proceed?
A1. Please proceed with the 7.5 Ton of cooling for what is rated for the existing indoor unit.
Q2. I also discovered no air coming from supply register in room 113 possible fire damper linkage broken.
A2. We will have this done at a later time. Not in the SOW.
Q3. As for the existing refrigeration lines are in the wall, is it okay to run them down the outside and use a line hide product?
A3. Yes, it would be okay to run the lines down the outside of the wall and use a line hide product.
