Text version
1. In section 11.3.2.1, it has been mentioned that the facility needs 94% efficient water boilers. The existing boilers are 80% peerless. Do you have a specific make and model to be installed? There are no recommended make/models at this time as long as the specs/output identified in the SOW are met.
2. Does the facility needs circulator pumps to go along with each boiler? No, the circulator pumps are being replaced under a separate project.
3. In section 11.3.2.2, "Contractor shall provide and install new low temperature air supply and exhaust systems for new boilers." Does the facility has a pre-existing air supply and exhaust systems in place that needs to be replaced or it has to be a new install altogether? Facility has pre-existing exhaust systems that are tied into chimney.
4. In section 11.3.2.8, it is mentioned that contractor shall test/confirm that all radiator valves are functional. The contractor shall remove and replace all radiator valves that are not functional to match existing. How many radiator valves in total? 30 each radiator valves.
5. In 11.3.3.1, it is mentioned to install an indirect water heater. What is the capacity of this water heater? This portion of the SOW is no longer required. Recently, a 100 gallon domestic hot water heater was installed.
6. Please clarify the location of the boiler installations and if all 3 are to be installed in the same location. Boilers are to be installed in same location as existing. We are only requiring 2 each hot water boilers for the building heating system.
7. Can you provide the part numbers or additional details on the existing radiators (11.3.2.8)? This is required to size the radiators appropriately in case of replacement. There are numerous different types/sizes of radiators located throughout the facility. I do not have any additional information for them.
8. Does the facility has existing building circulatory pumps to go along with the boilers? YES Do you need to replace them as well? NO If so, please provide the make and model of the existing circulatory pump? All existing circulator pumps are either fully functional or will be getting replaced under a separate project.
