VENDOR QUESTION: U.S. Government Answer
| Is there an existing roller system in place to guide existing truck? | There is an existing roller system in place to guide existing truck. If manufacturer provides their own guide system, that can be part of the package to quote. If manufacturer needs to integrate or replace with their roller system, that can be part of the quote as well. |
| 10,000 lb Side Loading Florklift. Assuming the required capacity is 10,000 lbs. to what lift height is the 10k required? Whap capacity is necessary at 288? Is the max overall height at 288" lift 324.4"? | JMTC is not a fork truck manufacturer. We cannot specifically say what height the 10k needs to go. JMTC will evaluate the offeror's ability to lift a given weight to a given height and determinie if this will suffice. The desire is to get as full of the 10k lb capacity at the tallest elevation the manufactuer can provide without the fork truck being considered a "special build". The 288" reference is for the maximum elevated mast height and the 324.4" is the extended height without an auxilliary fork carriage. The maximum overall truck height is 157". |
SECTION ONE: The General description indicates a (LP) powered sidelifting forklift Truck is to be electric as stated in Sect 2.21, .22 and .26. The LP was an error and should have read electric. So section 1 should have read, "electric fork truck".
SECTION TWO: 2.3 indicates 30" load bed maximum. Is that the maximum platform length or minimum? Is there an overall width requirement for the machine? Items 2.21, 2.22 and 2.26 indicate that the machine required is an electric unit. The 30" reference is the load bed length and this would be a maximum. The overall width of the truck should be 60" and work within our existing aisles.
| 2.5 Can unit be equipped with hook type forks ? all dimensions the same and positioning range as well the same . | |
| We do not use hook type forks. Regular forks will be fine. |
2. 2.2The overhead guard height is shown at 98 " maximum . Would 105 " maximum be acceptable as it is far lower than the required lowered mast height and should make no difference at all ? 2.3 states a maximum height of 174 " which should mean the Cabin height of 105" should be acceptable ?
Yes, cabin & overhead guard height of 105" will be fine.
3. 2.12Can the electrical system and subsequent battery be 72 volt ? Of course AH capacity of dissimilar voltage is different and to compare would have to be measured in Kilowatt hour capacity . The KWH are very similar ? 48 Volt , 840 A.H. = 40.32 KWH 72 volt , 560 AH. = 40.32 KWH . the same power , just dissimilar voltage A 72 V system would be fine.
2.19 Batter is also specific to a particular manufacturer. Would a battery dimension of 64.37 " long X 13" wide X 33.86 " high and 4,800 lbs.
be acceptable . Battery mounting is different and does not affect any operational spec for this application.
The proposed battery dimensions will be fine.
Do you require a travel cut-out circuit when the fork height is raised above 240" high while in the guided aisle, the unit will not travel?
That will be fine.
| Do you require a guide rail retainers with aisle sensor circuit? | |
| If this requires a new rail system, no. |
Do you require a camera system with LED light for area illumination? That may be included.
Do you require a manual dip stick at the hydraulic reservoir? Yes, this shall be included
Do you require an operator compartment cooling fan? Yes, this shall be included.
Do you require a load weight indicator, which allows the operator to see on the dial and know the weight of the load on the forks?
Yes, this shall be included.
| Do you require an accessory power supply hook-up for Government provided on-board terminals, like computers? | |
| No, this is not required. |
