STATEMENT OF WORK
for
Uninterruptible Power Supply Units
1.0 GENERAL
NSWC IHD Chemistry Lab has a requirement for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units to support multiple instruments. These instruments are key components in sample analysis for identification of crystalline phases, characterization of morphology, particle size, and elemental composition, and determination of exothermic/self-heating behavior in support of T&E, R&D, surveillance, failure investigation, and production for all energetic materials used in all Navy weapons programs or any system in the Navy inventory that utilizes energetic material.
2.0 SCOPE
The Contractor shall provide a total of twenty (20) APS UPS units, to provide additional backup power in the event of an outage, or to supplement older systems that require replacement. This
Statement of Work describes and defines the requirements for each of the three UPS units.
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
• UPS Requirements:
• APC Smart-UPS 1500VA LCD 120V
• 120 V input
• 120 V output
• Internal batteries for 6 minutes full load
• Output isolation transformer
• Internal maintenance bypass switch
• Auto-sensing input frequency
• Emergency power off (EPO)
• Minimum 4ms typical transfer time
• NEMA 5-15P Input connection
• UL/FCC approved
• Maximum 4 hours recharge time
• 75-154 V adjustable efficiency at full load
4.0 WARRANTY
All components will be covered under a minimum one-year warranty by the Contractor.
5.0 SCHEDULED DELIVERABLES
The contractor shall deliver and install the UPS units three (3) months after time of contract award.
6.0 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
The Contractor shall deliver and install the UPS units to NSWC IHD, Building 1864 – 5326
Whitman Court, and Building 3146 – 5374 Whitman Court, Indian Head Maryland.
7.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The Contractor shall deliver and install the UPS units three (3) months after time of contract award and cover maintenance through a minimum one-year warranty.
