Salient Characteristics Purchase Title: UAS LiDAR Sensor Package Primary Contact: Angie Diefenbach , adiefenbach@usgs.gov , 360-450-9773 (cell)

LiDAR Sensor Salient Characteristics:

· Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) Scanner with integrated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and GPS with Boresighting for Direct Georeferencing

· Integrated System provides Simple, One-Button, Operation

· Wavelength: 905nm Class 1 Eye Safe Laser

· Precision: equal to or less than 2cm – One Sigma @ 50 meters AGL nadir (Precision, also called reproducibility or repeatability, accounts for the variation in successive measurements taken on the same target.)

· Accuracy: equal to or less than 3 cm – One Sigma @ 50 meters AGL nadir (Accuracy is the degree of conformity of a measured position to its actual (true) value.)

· Absolute Geopositional Accuracy: 5 cm at 50 meters AGL

· Horizontal Field of View: equal to or greater 70 degrees

· Up to a minimum of 240,000 measurements per second

· Up to 3 “returns” or echoes per measurement

· 8-bit Intensity values provided for the signal strength of the returns / echos

· Scanning Range equal to or greater than 100 meters at nadir

· Average Minimum 350 points / square meter density at 70 meter range, 120 meter swath, and moving at 5 meters / second

· Laser beam divergence should be equal to or less than 0.28 degrees horizontal and 0.03 degrees vertical

· Operating Temperature Range equal to or better than: -4 to +104 degrees F / -20 to +40 degrees C

· Weight less than or equal to 1.1 kg / 2.5 lbs including power source

· Physical outside dimensions equal to or less than 14.4 cm (Length) x 9.5 cm (Width) x 14.2 cm Height

· Enclosure meets IPW55 specifications for resistance to dust and rain water

· Stand-alone Battery Power and Operation with no electrical connection to UAV

· Battery Power and Data Storage for minimum of 1.5 Hours of Autonomous Operation

· Include at least (2) batteries and (1) charger

· Include at least (2) USB flash storage drives

· Include at least (1) GPS antenna with cable

· Mounting Hardware for Operation on DJI Matrice 600 Pro UAS

· Payload boresight calibrated and provide an angle correction certificate.

· Minimum 1 year warranty and maintenance on all hardware

· Design and Integration provides option to attach RGB camera in the future.

· Data Post-Processing Workflow for Point, GPS, and IMU data will be compatible with existing Applanix POSPac UAV and YellowScan CloudStation software or a software post-processing solution will be included with package.
