TFSATTB17Q0004, Amendment 00001 Organizational Clothing (TTB) Questions and Answers

Q1: For the light weight tactical jackets that are needed, would you all like pull out panels on the jackets skin, so that the end users are able to wear these jackets around and not have everyone know that they are with a federal agency? This would allow the end users to go from covert to overt when needed but still maintain a clean uniform look throughout the agency. Likewise for this jacket is the 100% nylon taffeta fabric the only material that is suitable for this jacket? Would a high performance microfiber work? Would screen printing be acceptable for the lettering on the front right chest?

A1: No pull out panels. Nylon is the requested material but a microfiber product could be considered if the price is similar and the material has the same qualities as Nylon. Screen printing for lettering on right front chest will be acceptable.

Q2: For the customization needed for the tactical jacket and BDU style jacket do you really want embroidered TTB on the right side of the garments? We understand the badge needing to be embroidered due to the higher definition of embroidery versus screen printing. However a screen printed TTB would visually look much better and it would match the back screen printing as well.

A2: Embroidered badge and screen print TTB

Q3: For the T-shirt is embroidery really needed? On other federal agency raid t-shirts we have done previously they have always gone with screen printing of all the required embellishments as embroidery would not be end user friendly as typically they are not worn with anything underneath them as someone would the tactical jacket or BDU and would thus cause irritation on the skin.

A3: Screen printing is fine.

Q4: I was curious if you could provide me the brands of all the pieces that are being request for this bid?

It helps me gather all the garment details to better educate myself in what you are requesting and the aid to make sure I can offer you the best or exact garment you looking for.

A4: No preferred brands are available for this requirement.

Q5: Is there any way we can get an image of this jacket? Military Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) Jacket for this solicitation?

A5: Images can be found on Attachment B – Product Sample Images (idea of what items should look like), within TFSATTB17Q0004 (pg. 43-45).

Q6: Please share total amount of last contract awarded for the same scope of work as well as price/unit.

A6: This is a new requirement.

Q7: Please share name of vendor that was awarded the last contract.

A7: This is a new requirement.

Q8: Please share number of vendors who submitted questions for clarification.
