Background:
a. Requiring Organization
Defense Distribution Depot Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (DDOO)
b. Purpose of the Statement of Work (SOW)
The purpose of this statement of work is to make sure the contractor safely and efficiently removes and replaces the upper and lower metal cut guides safety sensors and repair stripped mounting holes on the Contech Ultra Press Model UP 5050 and ensuring the equipment is fully operational and meets manufacturers specifications upon completion.
1. Scope of Work to be Performed:
The contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment and materials necessary for removal, repair and installation of upper and lower metal cut guides. The contractor will then operationally test machines for troubleshooting to make sure upper and lower guides are installed properly. Upon completion of work the contractor will provide a written summary (Historical Record) of work performed.
2. Description of Contractor’s Tasks:
Task 1: Turn off the machine and disconnect power from the Ultra press and lock out.
Task 2: Inspect parts and verify that replacement parts match the machine’s specifications.
Task 3: Carefully detach the upper and lower metal cut guides.
Task 4: Install the new upper and lower metal cut guides and make sure they are torque to specification.
Task 5: Remove safety sensors for repair.
Task 6: Reinstall safety sensors and realign photo eyes.
Task 7: Remove LOTO and reconnect power and check for proper operation and adjust as needed for optimal performance.
Task 8: Provide a written summary (Historical Record) of work performed.

3. Certification and Acceptance:
Final acceptance of the attachment results will be by Lonnie Brooks or Broderick Hardrick – DDOO.
