STATEMENT OF WORK

Skymira Satellite Airtime Services

Background

Under the authority of Title I, Sec. 101 Homeland Security Act of 2002 as amended, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was established to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States; reduce the vulnerability of the United States to terrorism; and minimize the damage, and assist in the recovery, from terrorist attacks that do occur within the United States.

OBJECTIVE

The satellite airtime allows the Air and Marine Operations Center on March ARB to continuously receive global positions from Skymira GPS tracking devices with no loss of information.

The GPS tracking devices are purchased by HQ CBP National Marine Center, Saint Augustine, FL (NMC). This hardware purchase requires the funding for the satellite airtime and GPS tracking information.

The Air and Marine Operations Center funds the satellite airtime for the devices.

The GPS information is used for CBP officer and crew safety and intelligence gathering by law enforcement agencies including federal, state, and local.

SCOPE OF WORK

The work provided is an un-interrupted connection from the Skymira server to the Unitrac server located at the AMOC Riverside Ca. This connection allows the GPS tracking information to display at the AMOC.
