About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Laser Marking/Engraver system required by the NASA Glenn Research Center. The SOW specifies that the system must meet the requirements of the Keyence MD-X2500 Laser Marking System, including details on the laser, marking capabilities, interfaces, and other technical specifications. The system will be used for marking metallic materials for optical tracking at elevated temperatures up to 1400°C. If the vendor has not demonstrated that the system can work on NASA's metallic materials and that the marked materials are suitable for optical tracking at high temperatures, the vendor and system must undergo up to two weeks of qualification testing at NASA. The related federal contract opportunity has a Solicitation Number of 80NSSC872818Q and is seeking the Laser Marking System described in the SOW.
