Background
The USGS Astrogeology Science Center is called upon by NASA to solve some of the largest and most difficult problems in planetary science. To do this effectively, the USGS requires a flexible and powerful multi-physics simulation software package.
Requirements
The software package must stimulate the following requisite range of physical processes with the flexibility to adjust parameters for the alien settings on other planetary bodies:
· Heat Transfer
· Fluid Flow
· Solid Deformation
· Chemical reactions
· Phase Changes
· Porous Flow
· Convection
· The software must be able to operate in a Unix computer cluster environment
Other Requirements:
· Training on the use of the software
