STATEMENT OF WORK for SOLID WASTE REMOVAL Ozark National Scenic Riverways – Lower Current

FY2023

General Description: Solid waste pickup will be performed on the lower Current River located within Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The solid waste season is cyclic, so solid waste pickup will increase and decrease throughout the year (identified in the attached schedule). The area identified for trash pickup is the Big Spring area. Big Spring is located on Highway 103 south of Van Buren, MO in Carter County.

Contractor’s Responsibilities: The contractor will provide solid waste containers (specified sizes attached) at specified locations within Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Containers will be tipped according to the tipping schedule (attached) and the containers will be cleaned and disinfected as needed to remain odor free. Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) on disinfectants will be provided to park for approval prior to the use of the disinfectants on the containers. The ground areas around the containers are to be free of litter and debris after tipping. Containers are sealed to eliminate drainage of any liquids that may accumulate in container. Damaged lids will be repaired or replaced by contractor as needed within 48 hours of tipping. Containers will be removed from service during no-tipping season as indicated on attached tipping schedule.

The contractor shall provide the Contracting Officer (CO) quarterly reports to document the amount of tons of solid waste removed from the park.

Tipping schedule attached. NPS may request additional tipping for heavy use times i.e. holidays at submitted regular tipping price. All tipping will be performed during regular business hours, 07:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.
