STATEMENT OF WORK FOR
PURCHASE/INSTALLATION OF
EQUIPMENT SHELTER FOR 352D SWTS
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
1.1. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to fabricate and install a metal, pre-fabricated storage container outside the student cage room, building 501.
1.2. SCOPE OF WORK: The following scope of work shall serve as general information only and shall not limit the contractor’s responsibility or obligations to perform all tasks(s) within local, state and federal laws as well as manufacturer’s recommendations.
2. PERSONNEL
2.1. The contractor shall provide supervision that is experienced, fully qualified, and well versed in terminology and technical process, procedures, means and methods related to the work. The supervisor shall maintain direct control and surveillance of all contract personnel who are performing the work.
3. WORKING HOURS AND SCHEDULING
3.1. Work will be performed during normal duty business hours:
0730-1630 M-F.
3.2. Work will be done in such as manner as to not interfere with student training. The contractor will coordinate with the unit representative/ facility manager (Mr. Dan Kaster) to ensure schedule does not interfere with student training.
3.3. The contractor will be required to meet with the facility manager (Mr. Dan
Kaster) and any contract representative within 48 hours after contract award to establish a work schedule. Work will be inspected, repaired, and completed within a timely manner within the agreed upon schedule of the contract.
4. SECURITY
4.1. All workers will be legal U.S. Citizens with legal picture ID’s and able to gain a clearance on to the military installation.
4.2. No guns, drugs, or illegal paraphernalia will be allowed on the military installation.
4.3. All vehicles, equipment, and containers will be subject to search at any time while on or seeking access to the military installation.
5. REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION: The relocatable marine tactical equipment shelter will be customized in a modular fashion that will allow for shelter to be quickly assembled and disassembled on site:
• The entire shelter will be made from pre-galvanized steel rated to withstand Category 4 Hurricane Winds
• The shelter will consist of a modular customized manufactured steel framework with precise insert steel welded corner connections that enable the rapid assembly and disassembly of the equipment shelter roofing panels, side panels, and ground frame
• The roofing panels will consist of a custom fit, standing seam panel from pre-galvanized steel coated with 200 micron PVC out skin
• The side panels will be one inch thick steel sandwich panels, CNC fabricated, consisting of an outer panel of pre-galvanized steel coated with 200 micron PVC outer skin
• The inner side panel will consist of sixteen gauge pre-galvanized steel sheet with an insulating core of rigid fire-retardant polystyrene board for durability and impact resistance
• The ground frame and flooring will consist of CNC fabricated, ten gauge steel, hot-dip pre-galvanized, and polyester powder-coated grey to a thickness of 85 microns assembled with checker plate flooring that is secured with external grade fixings
• The shelter will have an insulated core
• The equipment shelter will be able to withstand continuous exposure of temperatures up to 140°F, 1000 hours of salt-spray, and has a twenty-five
(25) year external material guarantee and expected forty (40) year lifespan
• External measurements of container will be as close to 24’L x 8’W x 10’T as possible
• Interior 120V lighting permanently affixed
• Roll up metal insulated 7’-7” x 7’ metal doors, no windows, galvanized or painted for rust resistance, paint to match building roll up door color, can be hand operated.
• The North facing wall of the container shall have 60 large drying hooks (one row at 36 inches off the ground, one row at 66 inches). Each hook will be capable of holding 60lbs and protrude at least four inches from the wall.
• The South facing wall of the container shall have two heavy-duty hose reels capable of holding a 100 foot garden hose.
• Provide and Install a Shelving system made from aluminum with the capability of being locked in place and quickly demounted for disassembly and relocation if required
• Internally, along each wall, provide heavy duty 20” wide shelving up to six feet tall, a floor shelf and then one shelf every two feet. Each shelf shall be capable of holding 400 lbs.
• The external color of the container must be “Terracotta” to match existing building brick work as closely as possible.
• The contractor will place and wire the container for 120V power.
• The shelter shall be able to be easily moved with a 10K forklift if required.
6. PROTECTION OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY
The contractor will protect all government and personal property from damage.
7. SAFETY
7.1. All OSHA standards will be complied with.
7.2. Proper PPE will be worn at all times.
7.3. Best practices of safety in the work place will be adhered to at all times.
7.4. Any electrical, gas, or chemical work will be done by licensed personnel only.
7.5. All tools and materials will be cleaned up and stored safely at the end of the work day or on extended breaks (i.e. lunch).
8. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE
8.1. When work is complete the Unit Facility Manager will inspect the work for completion and quality prior to the job being accepted.
8.2. A minimum of a 12 month warranty on all work (material and labor) will be required upon job completion and prior to final payment.
9. FINAL CLEAN UP
9.1. Upon completion the contractor will adhere to industry standards for clean-up and remove all work related debris including but not limited to paint drips from permanent adjoining surfaces, as required. Final payment will be contingent on Unit Facility Manager’s inspection and approval of clean-up.
