BANGKOK Post Life Insurance Services Solicitation No. STH20015R0001 Questions and Answers

1. Q: Is there currently a firm fulfilling the requirement for this opportunity or is this a new requirement? Also, if it is not a new requirement, can you please provide the contract information.

A: The company currently providing the life insurance services to the Embassy is Muang Thai Life Assurance Co., Ltd. While these are not new services, due to the number of changes in the solicitation requirements to include the embassy payroll, the information included in this contract No. STH20011D2686 is not considered relevant. Also, any request for a contract is done through FOIA and at the link below:

2. Q: 1) List of Items, Schedule of Requirements, Scope of Work, Terms of Reference, Bill of Materials required.

2) Soft Copy of the Tender Document through email.

3) Information about the Tendering Procedure and Guidelines

4) Any Addendum or Pre Bid meeting Minutes?

3. Q: Any Extension of Bidding Deadline?

A: A proposal due date extension is currently not anticipated at this time. The CO believes allowing 66 days from the date the solicitation was posted on the FedBizOpps site and before the submission of proposals on April 3, 2015 before 15:00 hours Bangkok time, is reasonable for prospective offerors to prepare their proposals.

Also, as stated in the solicitation, electronic proposals submissions will not be accepted.

4. Q: Names of countries that will be eligible to participate in this tender and Estimated Budget for this Purchase?

A: This acquisition is unrestricted and all responsible interested offerors may submit a quotation. … page 2

5. Q: Is there any limitations that no proposals is offered by any life insurance brokers or representatives?

A: See Section L, paragraph L.4.3.2.2. on licensing and in particular the last sentence which states: Failure to demonstrate that the offeror is an authorized insurance company permitted to write and administer life insurance policies in Thailand shall be grounds for rejection of the proposal. In addition, see Section M.5, regarding the technical evaluation.

6. Q: Offer and Payment in U.S. Dollars – Do local firm submit and receive payment in Thai Baht?

A: See Section G.3 Payment – Foreign Firms.
