Statement of Work Preventative Maintenance and Service Agreement of the Sysmex Ploidy Analyzer Serial Number 2105034541
Introduction- USDA, ARS, SEA, Subtropical Horticulture Research Station (SHRS), Miami, FL has a Sysmex Ploidy Analyzer Instrument, serial number 2105034541. We need a service agreement for this instrument that would include a preventative maintenance for FY2025. The base year term of the service agreement is 6/14/2024 to 6/13/2025. This instrument is a cost-effective tool used for determining ploidy levels in plant samples. It is a user-friendly analyzer that can analyze one sample at a time using inexpensive reagents.
General Statement of Work- The instrument is a Sysmex instrument and necessitates that Sysmex conduct the maintenance and emergency services of the instrument. A licensed Sysmex technician will use proprietary Sysmex calibration reagents to adjust the instrument and then the technician will perform the preventative maintenance required to keep the instrument in working status. The technician will conduct a series of tests to qualify the performance and operation of the instrument. All parts will be certified parts if there is a need for emergency service. The service includes laser and laser component maintenance and service.
Period of Service- The technician will perform periodic maintenance once per year including travel, labor, and parts related specifically to periodic maintenance. Emergency service times will vary depending upon the severity of the problem. In the case of an emergency, a service engineer will contact the SHRS technician within 4 hours after a service notice is dispatched. We are requesting a base year contract that includes up to 4 option years.
Base Year: June 14, 2024, to June 13, 2025 Option Year 1: June 14, 2025, to June 13, 2026 Option Year 2: June 14, 2026, to June 13, 2027 Option Year 3: June 14, 2027, to June 13, 2028 Option Year 4: June 14, 2027, to June 13, 2029 Work Requirement- Miami ARS-SHRS plant genetics unit will require that this instrument is fully functional after the preventative maintenance. The machine will be able to immediately run samples without error and the samples will produce accurate and reproducible results after calibration.
