Statement of Work
SSMG Repairs
Engineer Support Services
1. Background:
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Detachment San Diego Detachment San Diego has a requirement for repairs to an SSMG set on a Navy submarine. PNS’s mission as the 500 kW SSMG Repair Depot includes coordination of submarine SSMG, SSDG, SSTG and EPM/EPTG maintenance. Engineering and labor support from a contractor’s staff that has a unique understanding of SSMG, SSDG, SSTG and EPM/EPTG sets and NAVSEA approved procedures will reduce all levels of maintenance time/costs and thereby reduce life cycle costs to the fleet.
Due to the unique requirements associated with the repair of nuclear submarines, the time critical nature of the repair and a need for first time successful completion of repair, Amee Bay, LLC is the best activity to accomplish the repair.
