Long Wave IR (LWIR) Camera
Statement of Work
For
AEDC White Oak / Tunnel 9 (TDW)
1.0 PURPOSE
The AEDC White Oak mission is to provide test and evaluation capabilities in support of Hypersonic national priorities. AEDC White Oak operates Hypervelocity Tunnel No. 9.
Tunnel 9 requires a high speed LWIR camera in support of Hypersonic testing at Mach 7 – Mach
18. This facility provides world renowned testing to validate models for code development purposes. The camera is meant to expand the capabilities of the Tunnel 9 global thermal imaging system.
2.0 SCOPE
The contractor shall deliver a high speed LWIR camera with a cooled SLS detector that meets the following requirements:
2.1 Physical & Operational Requirements
2.1.1 Spectral Range: 7.5 – 11.5 µm
2.1.2 Spatial Resolution: 640 x 512 pixels
2.1.3 Frame Rate: 1000 Hz or higher at full frame
2.1.4 16-bit dynamic range
2.1.5 Automatic exposure control
2.1.6 Exposure time-independent permanent factory calibration
2.1.7 Camera control and data transfer via GigE interface
2.1.8 Inputs/Outputs: TTL Trigger-in; Trigger Out
2.1.9 Volatile on-board 16 GB RAM memory
2.1.10 Temperature calibration range: 0 – 600 C
2.2 Accessories
2.2.1 25-mm lens
2.2.2 50-mm lens
2.2.3 13-mm lens
2.2.4 All power, data, and auxiliary cables required to operate the camera
2.3 Documentation Requirements
2.3.1 User Manual
2.3.2 Statement of Volatility
2.4 Software Requirements
2.4.1 Software package for operating the camera and data analysis. Tools for exporting data for post processing using other software packages shall be included.
2.4.2 All hardware and software must be Windows 10 compatible
3.0 MILESTONES
The contractor shall deliver the high speed LWIR Camera no later than 22 weeks ARO.
4.0 DELIVERABLES
The contractor shall deliver all hardware, software, and documentation to:
