Statement of Work – Genome Sequencing Service (RNAseq)

USDA-ARS WILL PROVIDE –
294 Total RNA samples
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FROM A SERVICE PROVIDER – RNA sequencing (RNAseq) for 294 samples:
· Perform mRNA isolation from total RNA using either polyA selection or rRNA removal
· Perform library preparation for Illumina sequencing
· Perform paired end, 2x150bp sequencing for each sample
· Provide ≥25M read-pairs of sequencing information for each sample, with quality of ≥ 80% of bases ≥ Q30
· Provide raw demultiplexed data in FASTQ format
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ACQUISITION
The objective of the contract is to perform RNAseq on channel catfish samples from research projects at AARHU for the analyses of global gene expression. USDA-ARS will ship 294 total RNA samples to the service provider, and the contractor will provide the data as specified in the General Requirement.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
This contract may be terminated for non-performance of duties.
· SPOC must approve use of service provider selected before contract/work can commence
· Turnaround time of less than 8 weeks
· SPOC must approve final quality and quantity of data received
· Must have a current DUNS number/Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number
